Executive Council

The executive council  administer the affairs of the egbe, elected every year by secret ballot from among the financial members at the Annual General Meeting except the position of the Asoju Bobakeye Akile Ijebu (UK & Ireland).  Members of the executive council can serve for more than one year in office (if elected) but the post of Asoju is a three year consecutive term in the office. With the power conferred on the Asoju by the Giwa, he is the head of the egbe in Diaspora and preside over meetings, co-ordinate the activities of the other members of the executive council and administer oath of allegiance to new members and newly elected officers.
